Dynamic Responds to the NJDEP during the public comment period
In August 2024, NJDEP proposed a nearly complete overhaul of their land use regulations, affecting the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, Coastal Zone Management Rules, Freshwater Wetlands Rules, and Stormwater Management Rules, among others. The changes proposed will have a significant impact on land development throughout the State of New Jersey. The NJDEP is currently targeting a July 2025 adoption date for their changes.
As part of this rule making process, Dynamic’s Stormwater/NJDEP Land Use Leadership Group reviewed the 1,000+ page proposal and generated a detailed commentary letter to the NJDEP to challenge various aspects of the changes. Our detailed commentary is featured below.
