Mr. McDermott joined Dynamic Engineering full-time as a Design Engineer in 2016 following his graduation from Rutgers University, where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering and Masters of Business Administration degree. Since then, Mr. McDermott has applied his unique academic background to help his clients satisfy their business needs and meet their land development goals. His responsiveness, comprehensive understanding of local land development regulations and ability to handle multiple residential, commercial and industrial projects effectively have carved the path to a role as Partner at the firm.

Mr. McDermott is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New Jersey, where his areas of expertise include site grading and earthwork, stormwater management, water quality design, green infrastructure, project management, local/county approvals, and NJDEP permitting inclusive of Water Quality Management Plan Amendments, Treatment Works Approvals, Freshwater Wetlands and Flood Hazard Areas.

Mr. McDermott’s experience spans a host of entitlement agencies including Planning and Zoning Boards throughout New York and New Jersey, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Transportation, Soil Conservation Districts, County Planning Boards, Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission and many more. From the initial concept phase to putting a shovel in the ground, Mr. McDermott stays closely involved throughout the entire land development process and strives to bring his clients an unparalleled level of service.
